Skinny Guy Visits the MOORE Expo
The Midwest Overland and Off-Road Expo (MOORE) takes place in Springfield, Missouri, at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. The show offers lots of gear for camping, off-roading, camp cooking, and much more. So, anyone looking to outfit their rig with all the essentials is covered. We were especially looking forward to the show because we’d be camping at the fairgrounds, which adds to the fun. We love sharing a story or two, seeing old friends, and making some new ones around the campfire at day’s end.
We hit the road early on a Thursday morning with two of our 6.5 models and lots of coffee. We arrived mid-morning, set up, and settled in for a great show weekend.
The MOORE has been happening for several years now, growing bigger and better each year. New this year was the Storyteller area, an area set aside just for influencers and travelers to tell their stories and share their experiences. It was a huge hit, and we enjoyed talking with some of them before and after the show.
After some less-than-stellar weather on Friday, Saturday took off like a shot. With hundreds of attendees touring the campers, we met and talked to so many people it was hard to keep them all straight. Even with four staff members on hand to work the booth, we were exhausted by the end of the day. Exhaustion couldn’t silence the chatter around the dinner table, though. We took advantage of some of Springfield’s plentiful dining options in the evenings while talking and laughing about the day.
Being part of this community is the best, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
