Jason and Justin at Skinny Guy Campers recently gave Bill from Coddiwomple Overland an exclusive first look at the NEW Jeep Gladiator model. The new 5.0 GLR model is specifically designed for the Jeep Gladiator, which Bill believes will be one of the hottest tickets on the market.
Jason Bontrager, co-founder and CEO of Skinny Guy Campers, explained that they wanted to provide an option for those with a Jeep Gladiator. Jason stated, “We know that the Gladiator is a fairly new product on the market but it has been very popular from what we have seen. We have seen other products out there that have a matching contour line and sidewall, we felt like we needed to provide something that would fit the Gladiator.”
Since the height from the top of the bed to the top of the cab is taller than other 5.0 models, it creates more space on the inside and makes the bed wider with 4 to 6 inches more of width. This allows for one to two overlanders, who are looking to journey in their Jeep Gladiator, plenty of room to sleep and feel comfortable.
The exterior profile design follows the Gladiator’s lines, which gives the new model a very pleasing appearance. Justin Sturgill, sales manager at Skinny Guy Campers, went into detail about the design of the model and said, “we wanted to give this model some character, which cost us some time but we really think it’s worth it.”
The 5.0 GLR build will be available in all of the current trim levels and the price will be comparable to the other Skinny Guy Campers models.
